Colas, I, 154 ; Brunet, I, 1226 ; Lipperheide, Kaa 29 ; Lipperheide, 1350.

First edition.

This copy illustrated with 111 engraved plates, as called for by Brunet (including 4 folding plates, and 105 coloured plates). This copy contains the rare table of plates which gives a total number of only 109 plates out of the 111 present (2 plates from volume V, notably Géorgien / Géorgienne p. 172, & Princess Tcherkes / Prince Tcherkes p. 177 are not included in the table). On the other hand Colas and Lipperheide indicate a total of 113 plates (they count 18 plates for the first volume ; Lipperheide 1350 indicates 2 additional plates for volume I).

A good copy, decoratively bound in the style of Bozérian, containing 2 plates in addition to those mentioned in the notice to the bookbinder.
