First examination of a pregnant woman

Garrison-Morton, 6174 ; not in Waller nor Wellcome.

First edition.

Doctoral thesis.

Jacquemier was one of the most famous obstetricians of his time. He left his name to a universally known obstetrical manoeuvre. He was also the first to apply Laennec’s auscultation method to pregnancy monitoring.

Garrison-Morton cites this work from a 1838 publication in the Archives Générales de Médecine.
